The public will reportedly likely “favor” Prince Harry and Meghan Markle once they arrive in the United Kingdom in June. An expert explained that this is because they will return with their two children.
Speaking on “Royal Insight,” host Camilla Tominey talked about the return of the former working royals to the country for the Platinum Jubilee celebrations. She believes that the pair will have “favorable publicity” because of their two kids, according to Express UK.
She noted that Queen Elizabeth II has yet to meet the Duke and Duchess of Sussex’s youngest child. As for their first-born son, the monarch and the rest of the British Royal Family have not seen him since he left for the United States in 2020.
Tominey continued that there is “not much” to derive from Prince Harry and Meghan Markle not attending the historic celebrations. She asserted that it is all because the two personalities “have to keep up their royal ties” as it is “helpful for them to be in contact with” Queen Elizabeth II.
The royal expert and author also claimed that the absence of the former working royals would “represent the kind of total separation of powers.” She added that the British Monarch does not want it, as well, as she has always insisted that the Duke and Duchess of Sussex are “much-loved members” of the Royal Family.
Elsewhere in the engagement, Camilla Tominey also touched on the potential reactions and sentiments of Prince Charles and Prince William when Meghan Markle and Prince Harry fly back in June. She shared that the two royal-born Princes are “anticipating,” adding that it would be all “interesting.”
The royal expert, later on, claimed that the “sadness” had been the only emotion the Prince of Wales have had to issues and controversies, like the Oprah interview. On the other hand, she believes that the Duke of Cambridge is both sad and angry.
Despite having such emotions, Tominey asserted that the two future monarchs will put their “brave faces” amid the celebrations next month. She even recalled that this was the same case during the Duke of Edinburgh’s funeral last year.
Prince Harry and Meghan Markle confirmed their attendance at the Platinum Jubilee celebrations on their son’s third birthday, which was earlier this month. A spokesperson for the pair released an official statement, noting that they are both “excited” and “honored” to take part in the historic event.
It remains unclear, however, when the Sussexes, including their two children, will exactly fly back to the United Kingdom in June. But, as per official announcements, the celebrations will run from June 2 to June 5.
