Selena Gomez wants the universe to know that she is single. She even revealed that she is “manifesting love” during her hosting debut on “Saturday Night Live.”
The 29-year-old songstress poked fun at herself, especially her love life during her recent gig, according to Geo News. In the latest episode of “SNL,” she told her audience that she is “single,” adding that “SNL is a great place to find romance.”
The Rare Beauty founder pointed out that several celebrities met their respective partners in the sketch comedy show. She mentioned Emma Stone, Scarlett Johannson, Pete Davidson, and Machine Gun Kelly, who are now with Dave McCary, Colin Jost, Kim Kardashian, and Megan Fox, respectively.
Selena Gomez consequently shared that she does not want to try “dating apps.” Because of this, she wants to “put it out in the universe that [she is] manifesting love.”
The “Wolves” singer continued that she “would like to say that [she is] looking for [her] soulmate.” However, “at this point,” she quipped that she would “take anyone.”
In response to the joke, “SNL” regular Kyle Mooney chimed in and said he would do it. Gomez quickly asked, “aren’t you married?", to which the comedian stated, “oh, that’s right.”
Selena Gomez has not had any public romantic relationships in the last few years. In 2020, she confirmed to The Wall Street Journal that she had been single for over two years, according to Us Weekly.
With her revelation, it appears that the “Back To You” singer’s last boyfriend was Justin Bieber. They last reunited in November 2017 but called it quits for good in March 2018.
Bieber and Gomez first confirmed their romance earlier in 2011. They split in November 2012 before reconciling in April 2013.
The two artists went on to have an on-and-off romance in the years that followed. They dated other people, though, during their break-ups in their relationship.

The “Lose You To Love Me” singer also briefly dated Taylor Lautner in 2009. She confirmed their break-up later that year, citing their lifestyles as the cause of the split.
