Vladimir Putin is allegedly worried that he would be replaced as Russia’s leader.
In its May 23 issue, Globe claimed that Putin is busy tending to his health following an alleged cancer diagnosis.
And while Putin is undergoing surgery, former FSB spy chief Nikolai Patrushev was tasked to take over the top stop.
Now, a source is claiming that Putin is worried that this setup would be permanent.
“Putin is unlikely to agree to hand over power for a longer period of time. Patrushev came up in the FSB just like Putin and is a cunning monster just like his boss. Like Putin, he’ll stab anyone in the back and trusts no one. He’s also ruthless and a sociopath who has no problem murdering rivals or an entire country like Ukraine,” the source said.
The source added that Putin is left with no other choice but to surrender power to Patrushev. But the Russian leader is also worried that Patrushev would stage a coup and have him removed while he’s on the surgery table.
According to the insider, Putin has also consulted with his thyroid doctor over 30 times throughout the past couple of years. And he was told that even though the surgery doesn’t need to happen anytime soon, he still needs to undergo it no matter what.
This isn’t the first time that Putin was rumored to be suffering from a serious health scare.
Last month, Globe also claimed that the Russian leader has been dealing with excruciating pain every single day of his life due to cancer.
“Putin knows that he is dying and wants to leave behind a historical legacy. His solemn expression is also said to be a sign that he is in constant pain. In the past, we have seen him smile but in 2022 there are few pictures of him looking happy,” a source said.
However, one should take the tabloid’s claims with a grain of salt.
As of late, all claims pertaining to Putin’s health are just based on speculations.
The leader of Russia has not confirmed or denied the alleged cancer and thyroid diagnosis.
And if he’s really sick, there’s no reason for him to hide his illness because it’s only a matter of time before the rest of the world finds out about it.
