Kate Middleton stepped out on Wednesday in a blue ensemble. She was described as “elegant” with her overall look for the official engagement.
Mail Online said that the future Queen Consort donned a baby blue blouse from Cefinn on the first day of her and her husband’s two-day Platinum Jubilee tour of Scotland. She partnered it with a pair of navy trousers, along with a Catherine Walker coat on top of her outfits.
The outlet noted that Kate Middleton has not often worn items from Cefinn, which is Samantha Cameron’s fashion label. But, it is not surprising considering her love of “championing British designers” with her chosen sartorial pieces.
The blouse is reportedly said to be a “glamorous-meets-demure” item. It is also described as an ideal “chic” piece for business meetings, as well as for dressed-down outings.
The Duchess of Cambridge wore her locks behind her shoulders for the day. As for her makeup, she kept it “neutral” with a “sweep of blush and a dash of black eyeliner.”
Kate Middleton and Prince William, also known as the Countess and Earl of Strathearn in Scotland, began their tour on Wednesday. Reports said it is part of the Platinum Jubilee celebrations, marking Queen Elizabeth II's seventh decade on the throne.
The Sun reported that the royal pair will spend two days in the country to celebrate the monarch’s milestone. They seemingly followed the footsteps of the Queen and Prince Philip, who had a royal tour across the United Kingdom in 2012 to celebrate her Diamond Jubilee.
The future King and Queen Consort first visited St. John’s Primary School in Port Glasgow. They both reportedly took part in a session of Roots of Empathy and, later on, engaged with teachers and students.
The outlet continued that the Earl and Countess of Strathearn will center on “mental health” as they tour Glasgow. They will also reportedly see first hand the project led by The Wheatley Group, and how it has transformed, and continues to do so, the lives of people who are “vulnerable” and “at risk of homelessness.”
People reported earlier this week that Kate Middleton and Prince William will “lead” the Platinum Jubilee celebrations across the United Kingdom. They were said to be the “most senior members” of the British Royal Family to travel outside of London.
Other working royals, like Princess Anne, Prince Edward, and Sophie, Countess of Wessex, will also head to Nations of the U.K., including Wales and Northern Ireland.
