Amanda Seyfried recently opened up about her desire to help and assist mothers bring babies into the world. She revealed that she trained to become a doula after welcoming her first child.
People reported that the “Dropout” actress shared her story for the cover of Marie Claire’s “Beauty Changemakers” issue. She also noted how “childbirth is amazing” during the engagement.
Seyfried stated that being there for women “is the most amazing thing [she] has ever been part of.” She then recalled how she talked to her own doula and later on realized how it sounded “like the best thing.”
While the 38-year-old actress underwent training, she did not move forward with the process. These include obtaining certifications to become an official doula.
Nevertheless, Amanda Seyfried said she is better at “taking pictures and massaging the back.”
In the same interview, the “Mean Girls” actress discussed her new business venture. She said she can no longer wait to start, adding that “it feels so good to do stuff completely out of [her] comfort zone.”
The publication consequently reported that Seyfried’s company centers on building playhouses for children. They use sustainable materials for the toy homes, which are “big enough” for young ones to stand in.
It is also said that the “Red Riding Hood” star, with the help of her friends, hopes to launch the venture later this year.
Amanda Seyfried shares two children with Thomas Sadoski, with their youngest being born in September 2020. About a year later, the celebrity opened up about her second childbirth to People at the screening of “A Mouthful of Air.”
She revealed that she had “something that went wrong” with the birth of her youngest child. Although the baby was okay, “it was tricky,” “painful,” and “it did not have to happen,” adding that it all added “an extra level of trauma.”
Later in the interview, though, Seyfried confirmed that she was okay. She pointed out that “it was a very physical thing and it was a spinal thing,” but she was okay.
When previously asked whether Amanda Seyfried would want to have another baby with her husband, Thomas Sadoski, she did not shy away from revealing her thoughts. She told Stephen Colbert during a “The Late Show” appearance that she would rather film a third “Mamma Mia!” movie than welcome a third baby, according to Us Weekly.
The “Mamma Mia!” actress noted that raising her two children had been “the hardest.” While she did not dwell on the details, she emphasized “definitely no third child” for her and her husband.
Seyfried and Sadoski secretly tied the knot in 2017. The pair welcomed their first child days after their wedding.
