Prince Harry continues to receive criticism after he detailed his meeting with Queen Elizabeth before the Invictus Games.
In its May 9 issue, National Enquirer claimed that Prince Harry used his grandmother as another publicity ploy, and the royal family is aware of what he was trying to do.
“Harry just brazenly lobbed another explosive grenade at the royal family. It was hoped having tea with Her Majesty would spell a thaw in relations, but sharing details of the private meeting looks just like another publicity ploy,” the source said.
The source added that there were hopes that the relationship between the Sussexes and the royal family was slowly being rebuilt. But Prince Harry’s interview proved everyone otherwise.
Following his conversation with Hoda Kotb, several royal experts slammed Prince Harry for the things that he said.
“His arrogance knows no bounds. His comment is a gross insult to the royal family, doctors, and aides around the queen,” royal expert Angela Levin said.
“Prince Charles, Her Majesty’s children, and Prince William are supporting the queen with actions – not just words,” royal biographer Robert Jobson said.
Jobson made his comments after Prince Harry said that he’s making sure that the queen is protected. However, he did not elaborate on why he thinks his grandmother needed extra protection from those around her.
Other sources are also slamming Prince Harry for his other statements like when he said that the United States is his home for now.
“The Sussexes claimed in their sickening CBS interview last year that Harry’s family never accepted Meghan and refused her help when she was suicidal. They even accused the royals of racism. Here we go again,” the source said.
It is true that royal fans and royal experts slammed Prince Harry following his interview. But there’s no indication that the Duke of Sussex used his visit to the queen as a publicity ploy.
Prince Harry and Markle were also accused of using their trip to Windsor Castle as part of their documentary for Netflix. But the streaming platform has not confirmed or denied the allegations.
As of writing, Prince Harry and Markle are back in the United States after spending a few days in The Hague for the Invictus Games.
Reports revealed that Markle returned home much earlier than expected because she missed her two children, Archie and Lilibet.
