Camilla Parker Bowles has become an integral member of the British Royal Family. She has even influenced Prince Charles, reportedly causing him to become much closer to his mother, Queen Elizabeth II.
Express UK reported that the assertions came from Katie Nicholl, who discussed the matter last week. In her piece for Vanity Fair, she noted that the Duchess of Cornwall’s “family first’ motto has rubbed off on [the Prince of Wales].”
The next British Monarch is reportedly much “closer than ever” to the Queen. This is said to be because “family is [Camilla]’s nucleus.”
The expert explained that Camilla Parker Bowles is “extremely close” to her two children, as well as her five grandchildren. She, also, claimed that the future Queen Consort “remains on good terms with her ex-husband, Andrew Parker Bowles,” adding that “her sister, Annabel, [is] her best friend.”
Nicholl continued that this dynamic has rubbed off on Prince Charles. He is speaking with his first-born son, Prince William, as well, “almost every day on the phone.”
Likewise, Queen Elizabeth II was said to be “in regular contact” with the Prince of Wales and the Duke of Cambridge. People previously stated that she was “increasingly bringing [her] royal heirs into the fold.”
As noted, the British Monarch continues to keep her busy schedule. But, even so, she has reportedly “enlisted” the help of Prince Charles and Prince William, letting them carry out many of her duties and responsibilities, especially the ones involving travels abroad.
Speaking to the publication, historian Robert Lacey pointed out that they all “operate together” but “not as equals.” He emphasized that the Queen “remains in charge, although her heirs, especially the second person in line to the throne, are a “very active component in the way the monarchy protects itself.”
Meanwhile, on Tuesday, royal officials announced the details of Prince Charles and Camilla Parker Bowles’ upcoming trip to Canada. The visit, which will take place next month, is said to be a part of Queen Elizabeth II’s Platinum Jubilee celebrations.
The tour will see the future King and Queen Consort travel across the country from Newfoundland and Labrador to the Northwest Territories, according to Mail Online. It will be a three-day trip from May 17 to May 19.
Reports said it will mark the Prince of Wales’ 19th visit to the Commonwealth country. As for the Duchess of Cornwall, it will be her fifth official visit to Canada, with her first being done more than a decade ago.
