Kourtney Kardashian and Travis Barker have been accused of being greedy.
In its May 2 issue, Globe claimed that the couple is planning to star in their own reality TV show after they ditch The Kardashians.
A source said that the couple has been doing all sorts of headline-making stints to ensure that they would have a huge following once their reality TV show airs.
“They want a paycheck in the high six-figure territory for each of them, plus the best team of scriptwriters money can buy. They want a bunch of other perks that would ultimately make them the king and queen bee of reality TV and breakaway stars in their own right – with fully staffed offices and catered meetings,” the source said.
The source said that Kardashian and Barker’s obsession with fame and money is not sitting well with Kris Jenner. And the momager has allegedly been telling the couple to sit back and be grateful especially since The Kardashians just premiered.
“But Kourt and Travis are convinced this is their moment to score the jackpot, leaving the family in their dust and making tens of millions in the process. They’ve outgrown Kim and company. There’s a real arrogance about Travis and that’s rubbed off big time on Kourtney. Worse, many of their fans want them to have their own spinoff because they’re more exciting than Kim and Khloe are combined,” the source said.
However, one should take the tabloid’s claims with a grain of salt.
There’s no proof that Kardashian and Barker are planning to star in their own reality TV show. This doesn’t make sense because there was a time when the mom of three didn’t even want to be part of Keeping Up With the Kardashians anymore.
But it is true that Kardashian and Barker have some exciting storylines that they could explore. However, they would do so in The Kardashians. This includes the couple’s engagement, upcoming wedding, and their journey with IVF.
Even if this is the case, there’s also no proof that Kardashian and Barker are ungrateful to the family, especially Jenner. After all, the momager has been there for all her children and she has been their biggest support system.
For now, fans of the couple can see them weekly in the hit Hulu reality TV show.
