Prince William and Prince Harry will, reportedly, be upset and angry if Netflix agrees to pick up a documentary about Princess Diana.
While speaking with Express, royal author Leslie Carroll said that a yet to be produced four-part series called “Being Me: Diana” could open new wounds for the royal siblings.
The documentary will reportedly focus on Princess Diana’s struggles with her eating disorder, her mental health, and her unhappy marriage to Prince Charles.
As of late, no production company has picked up the documentary but there are rumors that Netflix could release it.
Carroll said that the documentary can prove to be detrimental for Prince William and Prince Harry because it can either give them closer or open new wounds for them. The royal author said that it will all depend on who’s going to speak to the camera and what they will say.
The royal family refused to take part in the documentary. And Princess Diana’s relatives didn’t also agree to be a part of it. As such, no one knows who will speak on the Princess of Wales’ behalf.
But one of the most controversial storylines in the documentary would have to be Princess Diana’s thoughts, feelings, and reactions after learning about Prince Charles and Camilla Parker Bowles’ affair.
During their marriage, Princess Diana confronted Prince Charles about his affair with Camilla but he denied it. When the Princess of Wales asked Queen Elizabeth for help regarding Prince Charles’ infidelity, the monarch reportedly said that she doesn’t know what to do.
In the end, Princess Diana and Prince Charles decided to get divorced. And Prince Charles ended up marrying the love of his life in 2005.
Carroll said that the royal siblings will be very upset and angry most especially for Prince Harry. After all, he has been working with Netflix in recent months.
And following the huge blows with Prince Harry and Meghan Markle leaving, the timing of the documentary is just not good.
Meanwhile, there were rumors that “The Crown” will feature Prince Harry and Markle in their upcoming seasons. But while speaking on BBC “Breakfast,” royal biographer Angela Levin that this won’t happen.
Levin said that Prince Harry would stop any coverage of his relationship with Markle being broadcast in “The Crown.”
However, Prince Harry and Markle agreed to share their lives in their upcoming book “Finding Freedom: Harry and Meghan and the Making of a Modern Royal Family.” The book is written by Omid Scobie and Carolyn Durand.
