Bruce Willis was recently diagnosed with aphasia, and this forced him to quit his acting career for good.
In its April 25 issue, Globe claimed that Willis is taking the news really well and he also knows that his days are numbered.
A source told the tabloid that Willis’ illness cannot be cured and they also predicted that he would only have as little as five years to live.
“It will get progressively harder for him to understand what people are saying to him or what is happening around him. [Patients] typically die of complications from that and die or urinary tract infections or pneumonia,” the source said.
While he still can, Willis has allegedly started fixing his finances. He has also agreed to sell his $65 million property, which includes a lavish estate at Turks and Caicos.
“He’s going to become, over the next few years, increasingly dependent on family and caregivers for functions. It is not a disease that any of us want or wish our family members to have to live through,” the source said.
Even though it’s true that Willis was recently diagnosed with aphasia, there’s no proof that his days are numbered.
The actor’s family and friends have also been rallying behind him and giving him all the love and support that he needs during this difficult time.
Elsewhere, Willis’ good friend, William Neeson recently commented on the actor’s diagnosis.
While speaking with The New York Post, Neeson said that his heart goes out to Willis.
“I think of him every day. It’s particularly poignant, isn’t it? I wish him all the best,” he said.
Willis’ diagnosis was first announced on March 30 via an Instagram post shared by his loved ones.
“As a result of this and with much consideration, Bruce is stepping away from the career that has meant so much to him. We are moving through this as a strong family unit and wanted to bring his fans in because we know how much he means to you, as you do to him. As Bruce always says, ‘Live it up and together we plan to do just that,” the statement read.
As of writing, Willis is living with his wife and two youngest daughters. His ex-wife, Demi Moore is also a constant presence in his life as well as the daughters that they share together.
