George Clooney and Amal Clooney allegedly got into a fight while they were at the airport.
In its April 11 issue, Woman’s Day claimed that George and Amal seemingly fought because they ignored each other the whole time that they were there.
“Amal and George were barely speaking to each other. They seemed grumpy and stressed out,” the source said.
The insider added that the couple got on each other’s nerves because of their plans to visit the White House. But things didn’t go according to plan, and this upset them both.
“Amal was hoping George would be inspired to finally take the plunge and step into politics. She thinks they’d make an incredible president and first lady team. There was a time George would’ve considered it, but he’s starting to plan for easing into retirement. After spending time in the White House, he knows it’s not what he wants anymore,” the source said.
The insider insisted that George and Amal are at a stalemate and that their flight back home was tense.
However, one should take the tabloid’s claims with a grain of salt. There are several reasons why George and Amal were photographed chatting with each other at the airport.
The tabloid’s photos show Amal getting out of their private car first. And George stayed back to look after their luggage. No other photos of the couple inside the airport were shared by the tabloid.
And the claims that Amal wanted George to run for president aren’t true. They are also in stark contrast to the claims made by the other tabloids in the previous years.
Back then, some tabloids alleged that George wanted to run for president. And if he wouldn’t run, he wants someone like Meghan Markle to take his place. However, Amal doesn’t allegedly want him to run for office.
The contradicting claims made by the tabloids suggest that there’s no truth to what they are saying. If George had plans to run for president, he would most likely have his wife’s support.
Since George has not announced his campaign for the presidency, this only shows that he’s not interested in politics. The actor already has a tight schedule so it wouldn’t make sense if he would take on more responsibilities and run for president of the United States.
