Ben Affleck and Jennifer Lopez allegedly went a little crazy when it comes to their new Bel-Air mansion.
Affleck and Lopez didn’t think of their budget while looking for their home, Heat UK claimed in its April 4 issue. The couple allegedly had a blank check with them and they decided to pay $55 million for the property.
A source claimed that Affleck and Lopez are not yet content with the property that they purchased so they are thinking of shelling out more cash to have it renovated.
“They’re going to renovate it into a modern Hollywood palace. They want white gold taps in their master bathroom – that’s the level of spending they’re at. It’s going to cost a fortune in upkeep and security too, but they don’t care,” the source said.
According to the insider, Affleck and Lopez plan to sell their individual homes in the Pacific Palisades and in Bel-Air, respectively because they will not live together. So, they are expected to generate millions from the sale.
However, the Marry Me star doesn’t allegedly have any plans to sell her condo in New York, as well as her other property in the Hamptons.
“They are already looking to get a place in Miami together. And Jen has told Ben she wants something in Europe, too. She loves the idea of taking a leaf out of Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie’s book and buying a vineyard or maybe even a castle. Jen feels that she and Ben are Hollywood royalty and she wants them to act the part,” the source said.
However, one should take the tabloid’s claims with a grain of salt.
Affleck and Lopez did not purchase a $55 million mansion in Bel-Air. And the couple doesn’t also have any plans to move in together.
While it is possible for the A-listers to eventually buy their first home together, it’s unlikely for them to share the news with their fans before it even happens.
It is obvious that the tabloid is just speculating on Affleck and Lopez’s plans especially now that they have been together for a year.
But there’s no reason for Affleck and Lopez to rush into anything especially if they are committed to making their relationship last for the rest of their lives.
Affleck and Lopez do not also have any plans to sell their individual properties.
