Kate Middleton was likened to Princess Diana during her recent tour of the Caribbean.
Some royal fans dubbed the Duchess of Cambridge regal after seeing photos of her on tour.
Others also compared her outfits to the clothes that Princess Diana wore during her royal engagements years ago.
“Kate is the epitome of elegance. I’m enjoying seeing her in more casual and colorful attire. These pictures remind me of Princess Diana and how much she was loved,” the royal fan said.
While speaking with Heat UK, royal author Robert Jobson also talked about the Duchess of Cambridge. He said that Middleton wowed the crowd on this tour.
“She hasn’t put a foot wrong. Kate has met and greeted hundreds of people, shaking hands, and chatting with everyone face-to-face, and you can see the crowds warming to her. Yes, it’s a charm offensive, but I also think it’s genuine and she enjoyed seeing different countries and meeting people from all walks of life,” Jobson said.
Some royal fans were also thrilled to see Prince William and Middleton’s interactions while they were on tour. They were especially touched when they saw Prince William assisting Middleton while she was wearing high heels.
Royal fans labeled the couple’s royal tour as their second honeymoon. And it was reportedly much better than the first one because this time around, everyone was invited.
But despite all the praises that Middleton received, she and Prince William weren’t free from controversies.
The royal couple was accused of being tone-deaf after they were photographed interacting with children behind metal bars.
They were also slammed for riding a Land Rover during their tour. And Prince William and Middleton also faced the reality that Jamaica wants to become a republic even while they were still in the country.
All of the criticisms that they received forced Prince William to release a statement saying that he understands where the comments are coming from.
“I know that this tour has brought into even sharper focus questions about the past and the future I know that this tour has brought into even sharper focus questions about the past and the future. n Belize, Jamaica, and the Bahamas, that future is for the people to decide upon. But we have thoroughly enjoyed spending time with communities in all three countries, understanding more about the issues that matter most to them,” Prince William said (via People).
