When Markle tied the knot with Prince Harry, the Duchess of Cambridge was already in her 30s. As such, it is also unusual for women in their 30s to be maids of honor or matrons of honor.
And when Pippa tied the knot with James Matthews in 2017, the Duchess of Cambridge didn’t also serve as her bridesmaid or matron of honor. According to Express, there are claims that Middleton could upstage the bride if she happens to be Pippa’s bridesmaid or matron of honor.
