Chloe Grace Moretz had to forgive but she won’t forget. She opened up about the time a male co-star “fat-shamed” her in person at the age of 15.

Cheat Sheet unearthed the report, wherein the actress shared the revelation. As noted, she talked about the matter to Variety in 2017, about five years after the incident.

Moretz revealed that the male co-star was her love interest for a movie project. While on set, the unnamed actor told her that he would “never date” her in real-life, adding that she was “too big” for him.

The “5th Wave” star, then, noted that “it was one of the only that ever made [her] cry on set.”

Chloe Grace Moretz consequently said she went “bawling” to her brother, who later asked her what happened. Upon learning what went down, he got “so angry.”

Despite this, though, the then-15-year-old actress “had to pick it up and go back on set, and pretend [her male co-star] was a love interest.” This made her realize that “there are some really bad people out there.”

In the end, Moretz noted that “it was jarring” and “really dark.”

In the same interview, the “November Criminals” star, also, looked back on another “sexist situation” with a different male love interest. She stated that the young actor, who was younger than her at the time, “ostracized” her and brought up “fake issues” to boost his own reputation in the eyes of their director.

She noted that the lies were “things that are crazy,” “unprofessional things that would make no sense,” and something she would never do. She, then, pointed out that “it’s crazy” that these individuals “have this inferiority issue.”

Similar to the first incident, Moretz did not name names.

About a year later, Chloe Grace Moretz opened up about the pressures of body image in the world of Hollywood. Harper’s Bazaar released a report on the matter, detailing what the actress had told the Sunday Times Style Magazine.

The “Movie 43” actress recalled the timer when her 16-year-old self found a pair of silicon fillers in her trailer. It was placed there while on the set of a movie project.

She asserted that she was suddenly made aware of her breast size. She, also, talked about “how anxiety began to creep in.”

Moretz said that “even though you can brush them off, you still internalize them.” She, then, added that “they make you question yourself.”
