Kate Middleton has become one of today’s most reliable royals. But, this was not always the case, especially in the past.
A royal expert claimed that it “took her a while” to settle in. She reportedly “progressed slowly” in the Royal Firm, adding that royal watchers witnessed some signs during her first years into the royal life.
Express UK reported that the assertions came from Richard Kay of the Daily Mail. He discussed the matter in an episode of Channel 5’s “Secrets of the Royal Palaces” series.
He cited an example, showing how the Duchess of Cambridge was not initially confident in her position within the British Monarchy. He recalled the time when the royal gave her first speech at the inauguration of a children’s hospice in 2012, describing her as a “nervous figure.”
Despite this, though, Kay asserted that Kate Middleton has now gone on to “demonstrate her star quality” before the public. She has since grown into a “confident” figure who “controls the red carpet like it is her own.”
The royal expert continued that it is as if the Duchess of Cambridge was “born” to it. She reportedly appears “very natural, very assured,” and “she talks easily to people.”
Royal expert and author Katie Nicholl had a similar thought about Kate Middleton. Following the royal’s birthday milestone earlier this year, she praised and deemed her a “beacon” inside the British Monarchy.
A separate report from Express UK covered the matter, detailing the statements of the expert. As explained, Nicholl shared her comments after the “turbulent period” the British Royal Family experienced in 2021.
She noted that it was “not an easy year” for the British Royals. But, even so, the Duchess of Cambridge appeared to have become a guiding light in all of it.
The expert, also, emphasized that the future Queen Consort was a “commoner who married into the Royal Family. Regardless, though, she “has not tripped up and not caused any embarrassment.”
At the same period, Princess Diana’s former chief of staff spoke with The Post exclusively and insisted that Kate Middleton “is just what these troubled royal times need.” As added, the “Windsors’ future lies in her hand,” and there is reportedly “no exaggeration” to it.
Patrick Jephson, then, explained that the British Monarchy is the “ultimate long game,” and the Duchess of Cambridge “has mastered” it, according to Page Six. He asserted that it is “a very significant achievement,” considering “royalty is for life and its time horizons are infinite.”
