Meghan Markle was successful in “overshadowing” Kate Middleton amid her royal visit to Copenhagen. This is at least what her fans are saying across social media platforms, according to Express UK.
Some of the former actress’s followers stated that it is “hilarious” how she and Prince Harry had managed to “overshadow a 1000-year-old institution” despite barely making an appearance. Others echoed the assertions, saying all the Duchess of Sussex has to do is “bat her eyes” and she will undoubtedly obtain the spotlight more than the Duchess of Cambridge.
The publication explained that the comments come after Kate Middleton made a royal visit to Denmark earlier this week. The official engagement coincided with Meghan Markle and Prince Harry’s first public appearance, having dinner with Princess Eugenie and Jack Brooksbank in the United States.
Several photos of the double royal date at a Santa Barbara restaurant quickly made headlines. This has caused fans of the Duchess of Sussex to conclude that she and the Duke of Sussex have succeeded in “overshadowing” the Duchess of Cambridge.
Apart from the “overshadowing” assertions, some other avid fans of Meghan Markle branded Kate Middleton as “Kopy Kate.” This comes after she went down for a slide at the Lego Foundation Play Lab during one of the engagements in Copenhagen.
Reports stated that the followers compared the move to the Duchess of Sussex’s “The Ellen Show” prank stint, wherein she obtained waves of backlash. They seemingly saw the Duchess of Cambridge’s “slide” as an act, copying her sister-in-law.
Others, also, expressed disappointment, emphasizing how Prince William’s wife was praised, while Prince Harry’s wife was criticized for doing similar things.
Amid all the negative remarks, though, the two Duchesses remain tight-lipped about the concerns. They have yet to address any of the reports, making the whole narrative appear opinionated.
Meanwhile, Kate Middleton is seemingly having a great time on her solo trip to Denmark. A separate report from Express UK said that she has “stolen” the hearts of her audience, especially the young students at the Stenurten Forst Kindergarten.
The official royal visit to the country is a two-day engagement for the Duchess of Cambridge. Kensington Palace stated that the first day of the trip was “all about understanding the very earliest stages of child’s development” in Denmark.
As for the second day, it is noted to be more about the future Queen Consort discovering and learning about the “next stage of their life, focusing on children’s mental health and well-being.”
