Camilla Parker Bowles and Meghan Markle have allegedly turned into unlikely allies because of their respective husbands.
In its Feb. 14 issue, Woman’s Day claimed that Camilla and Markle are thinking of ways to prevent Prince Harry from returning to England permanently.
The wives are allegedly worried that Prince Charles and Prince Harry are plotting for the latter’s return especially now that they’ve been in contact with each other.
“It’s not Harry Camilla’s worried about – it’s Meghan’s influence over him. If he’s back in the fold, then she is too. And given the duke’s memoir is still hanging over their heads, she doesn’t trust any of it. She’s warned Charles to be careful what he says around Harry,” the source said.
As for Markle, she doesn’t allegedly want her husband to get sucked back into the royal family.
“She’s OK with him being on speaking terms with his dad, given he’s about to control the family purse strings, but she draws the line there. She keeps reminding Harry of all the things Camilla did to his family when he was young, especially his mother,” the source said.
However, one should take the tabloid’s claims with a grain of salt.
First, Prince Harry doesn’t have any plans to return to England permanently. In fact, the dad of two cannot even travel back home even for just a short vacation because he’s worried about his and his family’s security.
Second, Camilla doesn’t need to worry about Markle influencing Prince Harry. After all, the Duke of Sussex is an adult who can make his own decisions.
Third, it’s not also true that Camilla and Markle are teaming up to ensure that Prince Harry will never return to England. After all, there’s no reason for them to do this.
Prince Harry and Markle are living their lives in the United States. And this is also where their jobs are so it’s unlikely for them to just up and leave at any time.
The Duke of Sussex has also made it clear that he wants to make sure that his family is safe first before they visit the royals back home. However, British security refused to give Prince Harry his own detail during his visits even if he offered to pay for their services.
After all, not all royals even have 24/7 security in the United Kingdom right now.
